Burnout-free on Valentines Day

Valentines Day is only a few days left from now. Almost everyone is thinking what gift to give to their loved ones. Single ladies and gentlemen are pressured to find a date on that special day, couples are planning where to celebrate, while broken-hearted ones try to go abroad or travel elsewhere to forget. Everybody's preoccupied with that aspect of Valentines Day, and that is to find and give love. Indeed, it is happier to have somebody to share your love with but we sometimes forget to realize another aspect of this significant day and that is the importance of loving yourself.

Do you sometimes experience a feeling of emptiness? Of unexplained tiredness? Of going to a faraway place alone without any disturbance from anything? You don't feel like doing anything anymore. You lack interest in doing your daily routines. You feel like everyday is a bad day and because of too much exhaustion you feel like you have nothing more to give. Alas! You are not alone. Welcome to the world of burnout!

Who do you think is the culprit to all this? None other than...but you. Why? Because you're working too hard. It's because of your desire to earn more money to provide for your family, that you tend to overwork yourself to the extent that you are already unconsciously abusing your own body. Little did you know that you are already damaging and killing your body cells which causes you to feel stressed out and burnout.

This Valentines Day, why don't you schedule a date with yourself for a change. Set aside this date apart from your date with your loved one. Make this day a time to rest your body for a while. Find a way to pamper yourself like treating yourself with a whole body massage, a foot spa or facial. As much as possible, stay away from your daily routines and free your mind from worries. Indulge in your forgotten hobby like biking, or any activity you enjoyed doing before. Exercise and meditate. Revitalize your body by getting more sleep. Relax and travel if necessary. In this way, you can regain all the lost energy and recover balance in your life. A peaceful mind can easily make you become focused and motivated in achieving your plans in life. Practice loving yourself more often so you could live a burnout-free life. Happy Valentines Day everyone.
